Already completed our Beginners Handbuilding course? Or just keen to up-skill? You sound ready to delve into the magical world of porcelain! In this six week course you will be introduced to the unique advantages and challenges of working with this luminous clay and create your own sculptures or vases. Drawing on her 20+ experience hand-building with this beautiful medium, Valentina with teach you different sculptural strategies to complete your own work including sculpting slabs, constructing sturdy armatures, press-moulding and using shellac relief to create intricate surface details. This course will give you the skills to create confidently with porcelain! All clay, tools, decorating materials and firing is included.
Each class will have a maximum of 10 students. We can't wait to welcome you to the studio!
**Accessibility Note: This class is held in our upstairs studio which is only accessible by two flights of stairs.
