Whether it’s a catchup with friends, a team activity or a special celebration, our beginner-friendly pottery workshops are a fun way to try something new, get hands-on with clay and create something of your own.
Try The Wheel
Students learn the basics of wheel throwing and keep one cup/bowl form which studio assistants will glaze at a later date. Collection of the piece is in approximately two weeks from the studio, or via paid postage.
Try Handbuilding
Students learn coiling and pinching techniques, decorate with underglaze and keep two pieces which will be glazed by our studio assistants at a later date. Collection of the pieces is in approximately two weeks from the studio, or via paid postage.
Try Slip Casting
Students learn to slipcast two cups in a one part and two part mould, keeping both pieces. Studio assistants will glaze at a later date and collection of the pieces is in approximately two weeks from the studio, or via paid postage.
Try Decorating
Students learn five decorating techniques and apply their choice to a bisqued plate. This piece will be fired by our studio assistants at a later date. Collection of the piece is in approximately one week from the studio, or via paid postage.
Try Glazing
Students learn how to apply glazes to four supplied test tiles and two espresso cups as well as troubleshooting and tips and tricks of glaze application. These pieces will be fired by our studio assistant. Collection of the pieces are in approximately one week from the studio, or via paid postage.
