Are you looking to take the next step to making your own glazes? This workshop guides you through the process of sourcing glaze recipes from online community collections, understanding the ingredients and processes required, and then making your very own! Perfect for beginners and intermediate potters - no glaze mixing experience required.
Claire will help you explore basic glaze science and ingredients, mixing and application of glazes, and how to incorporate this new knowledge into your ceramic practice. You will also get the opportunity to mix at least one Stoneware glaze from a recipe of your choice and create a set of test tiles to fire and take home. All glaze materials, tools and firing included - no hidden extra costs.
*Workshops are for adults aged 18+ only. Teenagers aged 11+ may attend if they are booked in with a participating adult. Participants who do not the minimum age requirements will not be permitted to take part in the class and no refunds are available on the day.
**Accessibility Note: This class is held in our upstairs studio which is only accessible by two flights of stairs.
