Learn how to build bigger and better than ever before! In this workshop you will discover how to handbuild beautiful expressive forms with coils from our amazing previous Guest Artist in Residence Ruby-Jean Whitehead. Explore Ruby's coiling techniques for creating larger vessel forms while maintaining strength and integrity, and push your skills to taller and wider shapes.
This is a 2-part workshop, designed to allow your vessels to firm up over a week to be ready to extend further in the next session. You must be able to attend both sessions to book into this class. You will also get the opportunity to play with underglaze and textural decoration, and at the end of the final session your work will be glazed and fired by NPS, reading for you to take home in 4-5 weeks. All glaze materials, tools, and firing is included - no hidden costs.
*Workshops are for adults aged 18+ only. Teenagers aged 11+ may attend if they are booked in with a participating adult. Participants who do not the minimum age requirements will not be permitted to take part in the class and no refunds are available on the day.
**Accessibility Note: This class is held in our upstairs studio which is only accessible by two flights of stairs.
