Learn the ancient technique of Neriage – mixing and layering different coloured clay on the wheel to create beautiful marbled pieces to treasure.
The term Neriage is derived from the Japanese words "ne-ru" meaning "to knead" and "a-geru" meaning "to raise up". Kim will show you how properly combine different coloured and textured clays on the wheel, and learn controlled throwing techniques to create beautifully decorated cups, bowls and vases.
And at the end of the session you will also get to keep two pieces which we will glaze and fire for you to take home.
All glaze materials, tools, and firing is included - no hidden costs.
*Workshops are for adults aged 18+ only. Teenagers aged 11+ may attend if they are booked in with a participating adult. Participants who do not the minimum age requirements will not be permitted to take part in the class and no refunds are available on the day.
