Welcome to ceramics! Our beginner's course is the perfect place to start your journey with clay and learn all about the ancient art of wheel throwing.

Whether it's your first time making with clay or you're looking to practice your skills - this class will give you all the fundamentals on the wheel. In this six-week course (one 2.5 hour class per week) you will learn centering on the wheel, throwing cylinder and bowl forms, and how to turn and trim the bases of your work. You will also get to explore a range of finishing techniques including underglaze colours, tissue transfers and class glazes to decorate your pieces! At the end of the course you will have your very own glazed pots and bowls to take home and treasure.

This course is ideal for beginners or those who have completed a beginners courses already and want to hone their skills. No previous experience is required. Each class will have a maximum of 10 students.
