Welcome to ceramics! Our beginner's course is the perfect place to start your journey with clay and learn all about the ancient art of handbuilding.
In this six-week course (one 2.5 hour class per week) you will learn the the fundamental handbuilding skills of pinching, coiling and slab building and use them to create functional and decorative vessels and sculptures of your own design. You will also get to explore a range of finishing techniques including underglaze colours, tissue transfers and class glazes to decorate your pieces! At the end of the course you will have your very own glazed pieces to take home and treasure.
This course is ideal for beginners - no previous experience is required. Each class will have a maximum of 10 students.
