In this six week course you will take your handbuilding skills to the next level! This class is perfect for both beginners looking to explore whats next after pinch pots, and more experienced handbuilders wanting to extend their skills and explore exciting new techniques. You will learn how to carve Japanese Kurinuki vessels, build sculptural forms with soft slabs, and play with a range of new decorating techniques while implementing design process into your practice. Using these techniques you will create a range of forms, varying from functional ware to sculptural pieces.
At the completion of the course students will have their own glazed pots and bowls to take home and use.
Each class will have a maximum of 10 students.
Please bring along your own towel and apron. Covered shoes are essential.
